Staircase

GRD, f2.4, 1/45, ISO 400, JPG

When you get out of Old Street station you can't help but feel you're in a derelict building. The whole underpass leading out of the station is a dump and you have to wonder why it has not been demolished a long time ago.

  1. Great image of a "derelict" object but the coloring is fantastic and helps convey that perspective.

I first thought to take the picture in b&w but it would not have worked as well so I was glad to have it in color.

  3. I think the colouring makes it, too. I was thinking the other day about the contrast between tunnels at Aldgate/Old Street vs those at Canary Wharf...

There is quite a contrast between the different tunnels (and almost everything else) around London.
