Washington DC

GRD, f9, 1/2000, ISO 200, JPG b&w

Thanks to a long weekend due to President's Day on Monday, I decided to take a trip from New York to Washington DC.
Washington is completely different from New York and feels very quiet and almost empty of people, a bit like Berlin. It is nice and relaxing to walk around although all the snow does not make this very easy at times.

The weather was good for photography and I have tried to vary my shots although some are more tourist snapshots. You can see all in the Dropbox gallery here.

  1. Well if it wasn't for the fact we have had unprecedented amounts of snow for this area and many of use are still hunkered in, a weekend in Washington would be a little bit busier. Nice shot btw that at least on my MacBook looks like it was shot decades ago.

  2. Thanks for your comment Ron!

You are right that the snow kept people inside. It was just a nice contrast after New York. I really enjoyed my time here.

The GRD at high ISO and in b&w has a great look and character to the images and looks like an old picture shot on film.
