Morning in Brighton

While I had to get up early today, it was not really a problem since it meant I didn't have to head into London. I had a meeting in Brighton scheduled so it meant I took a longer but much more pleasant journey in the train to Brighton.
I managed to fit some time in for a quick walk by the beach and taking some photos. Not my best work from Brighton but due to the limited time and rather dull morning it was the best for today.

A Day in Brighton

The day started with great sunshine and it was pleasant so I decided to head to Brighton with Tom.

Day in Brighton

Spent the day in Brighton walking around and having a few drinks by the beach. Took my GR with me but swapped it put for Tom's GXR A12-M so he can see how the GR works and I felt like using the GXR again.
I have to say that although the GR is much faster, has a better sensor and is really small and light, there is something about using M lenses on the GXR but both cameras complement each other very well.

Brighton Day

Spend a day in Brighton and Hove, enjoying the nice weather and exploring the towns a bit more.
Took only the GRD with me since I like using it and it did not get as much use as it deserved recently.

This is a series to show a bit of variety, although it so happened that all pictures I chose are taken by the sea and not while in town.

On a technical note, I am still amazed by how much you can process the GRD JPGs compared to other cameras where even the RAW files don't allow for that much processing before they start to fall apart.

A Day by the Sea

Spent the day in Brighton enjoying the sea and sun, travelled light so only took the GRD IV with me. All pictures are RAw files, processed with RAw Therapee and then with Snapseed for Windows.
My favourite is the 2nd with the boy throwing the stone in the water, not sure if I did not go a bit overboard with the processing but I quite like how it came out.

British Beach Community

GRD II, f2.4, 1/500, ISO 80, RAW

Went to Brighton today and for a change it did not rain. Was a nice day out and I took lots of pictures with the LC1 to get the hang of it. Overall it is great but the focus and speed of operation are not quite there with the GRDs. The images have a whole different feel to them though. Need to use it more to be able to really compare them. So far I really like it and already would not want to miss it for certain pictures.
