Leaving on a Jet Plane

After spending a few days in Germany, visiting family and seeing some friends but not doing much photography, it was time to leave Europe and head to Asia.

After taking the train to Frankfurt I was ready for the first leg of my journey, the flight to Bangkok.

It will be an exciting time and I have no idea how things will turn out of what will happen but I know it will be a good change.

Waiting to Board

GRD IV, f2.5, 1/760, ISO 80, RAW

I don't like airports and waiting around there for my flight to leave. Airports are so inefficient and it would be great if I could board a plane as I board a train.

Steel

GRD IV, f3.2, 1/870, ISO 80, RAW

I was going back and forth between converting this to b&w or leaving in colour, in the end the colour version won due to the nicer tones.

Windows

GXR A16, f5.7, 1/760, ISO 200, JPG, 85mm

Took this on my way to work in our Frankfurt office. I like taking architecture pictures of modern buildings in the morning of evening when you get all the reflections of the low sun.

Chill in the Sun

GXR A12-M, f6.3, 1/3500, ISO 200, RAW, 42mm (Ricoh GR f2.8 28mm L)

Took this during a quick stop in Frankfurt today. Tomorrow, I will be in Duesseldorf and will get to try out the new A16 zoom module for the GXR so it should be interesting.

Buying Pearls for Christmas

GXR A12-M, f2.0, 1/125, ISO 295, RAW, 75mm (Jupiter-8 f2.0 50mm L)

Another quick day trip to Frankfurt but the weather was still grey and rainy like last time so not great for photography. This is actually the first picture I took after arriving at the train station from the airport.
The Jupiter-8 is a very nice lens and has a nice bokeh and colours. This is not bad for a lens that costs around £15-20 and you get an old Russian rangefinder camera thrown in for free.
