Took this while walking through the park, been a grey and rainy day here so the sad expression on the dogs face was certainly fitting.

The Dog

Took this picture on my way home in Greenwich Park. The dog was really interested in whatever was in the hollow tree trunk, he was sniffing around there for quite a while and constantly moved around. It was difficult to get a good shot because of the movement and I was quite far so has to zoom in all the way.

After my film week, I decided to take my GRD I out again and take some pictures. I did not want to take any color pictures though and decided that b&w would be best for today, even better was the text mode however. I really like what you can get out of it and together with the audio recording mode it is the best scene mode you can find in any camera. I hope the new Ricoh cameras will all keep the text mode and bring back the audio recording mode.
I am actually thining of having a whole week dedicated to the text mode.

Dog Day Afternoon

The weather was great, warm and sunny and by finishing work early I had enough time to go to the park in Greenwich and enjoy the sun. While walking around I decided to use the fish-eye lens again.
Dogs are great subjects for fish-eye photography, their long noses and curious nature means you can get some very interesting shots. I left the vignetting at the corners as it was but cropped the image slightly and changed the colors and contrast with the curves tool to give it more of a Lomo feel.
