Goodwood Festival of Speed 2013

Before heading to Harwich to take the ferry to Holland, I had tickets for the first day of the Goodwood Festival of Speed in Chichester.

It was great fun but I would have needed a lot more time to see everything and have enough time for some proper photography, it was all a bit rushed in a way. It was still worth going though and the weather has been great.

I used the GR with 21mm adapter mostly but removed the adapter at times to get a bit closer, here the GXR with Leica 90mm would have probably been the better choice. to take some pictures of the cars on the track.

Louwman Visit

If you're in Den Haag and have at least a slight interest in cars, you should visit the Louwman Museum. Even if you don't have interest in cars but just want to have a coffee in a cool setting you should still go for a visit. I don't normally like going to museums when the weather is nice as it feels like I am missing out by being inside but the visit to the Louwman was worth it.

I decided to post a series of pictures from it, trying to be as varied as possible when taking into account that I was taking pictures of cars in a museum. The pictures are taken both with the Gr and the Heliar 15mm lens, which performed extremely well despite the low light in the halls but the wide angle and extra DOF sure came in handy. All pictures processed on the Nexus 7 using Photo Mate, a RAW developer which quickly manages to surpass even RAW Therapee for quality but also ease of use.

Standing in the Rain

LC1, f2.4, 1/100, ISO 100, JPG, 90mm

Today I got wet twice, first in the morning while it was raining, and then again in the afternoon while walking along the Malecon to take pictures of the waves.
In both cases my LC1 and GRD III got quite soaked but kept on going without problems.

This was not my favorite picture from today but being in Cuba for a few days already I had to post a picture of a old car and this I really like. My favorite picture is of the old lady in the yellow raincoat that you can see in my Gallery.
