Day 345 - The Longest Day Part 1: Busan to Seoul to Osaka

When I woke up this morning, I knew it would be a long day. I had to go to Busan station, take the KTX train to Seoul, the plane from there to Osaka and from there to Honolulu just before midnight.

Day 275 - Back in Busan

I got up early to make my way to Haneda airport from Asakusa for my flight to Busan. The direct subway train was nice so it meant I didn't have to change and made it to Haneda pretty fast.

Day 274 - More people in Asakusa, Ueno and Akihabara

After the rather grey and dul day esterday, it was great to wake up to sunshine and blue sky. I did not have anything planned and since this was my last day in Tokyo, I figured I just chill and do yesterday's walk again.

Day 271 - A Day in Kamakura

A visit to Kamakura is a must if you're in Tokyo, it's not far and you can visit a lot of temples and enjoy the hills and seaside so get a break from busy Tokyo.

Day 269 - Nikko

After a short Shinkansen ride and a normal train journey, I arrived in Nikko. This was the first time here for me despite hearing only positive things about it, somehow I never made it here before.

Day 267 - Himeji and Osaka

One of the most impressive and memorable places from my last visit was certainly Himeji castle, the only thing that spoilt the visit was the pouring rain during my last visit.
This time round the weather was perfectly fine but what kind of spoilt it was the huge scaffolding and cranes in front of the castle.

Day 266 - Hiroshima History

While there were some more grey clouds over Hiroshima it didn't mater today. The day was meant to be spent visiting the Peace Park and very good museum there so there was not all that much outdoor activity planned.

Day 265 - A Grey Day in Miyajima

It started raining late last evening and the morning didn't look any more promising. Since this was the only full day planned for Hiroshima, it made sense to head to Miyajima for a visit in order to have enough time there.

Day 264 - Kyoto to Hiroshima

The morning was set aside from visiting the main temples in north Kyoto since they were close to the ryokan so it made sense to do this before heading to the station for the Shinkansen to Hiroshima.

Day 263 - More People in Kyoto

The day started with a visit to Nijo Castle before heading to Higashiyama and then the Gion district. There were a lot of temples and shrines I visited along the way but I decided to focus again on people for this post.

Day 262 - People in Kyoto

A nice and sunny day in Kyoto and I decided to head to the only main place I have not yet been and is the furthest from my Ryokan so did head to the Fushimi Inari Shrine to see the tori gates and do some hiking.

Day 261 - Matsumoto Morning and Kyoto Evening

Another nice and sunny day in Matsumoto although it was time to head to Kyoto in the afternoon. The morning was therefore spent visiting the castle properly.

Day 260 - Matsumoto Blossoms

A warm and sunny day with a clear blue sky in Matsumoto so perfect for a walk and a hike around the Alps Park near the castle.

Day 259 - A Day in Matsumoto

Took the train from Tokyo to Matsumoto in the morning hoping to catch some of the cherry blossoms there, it was also one place I have not yet seen in Japan.

Day 258 - Grey Skies in Tokyo

Another grey day but at least it was not raining ion the morning so I walked to Meiji Jingu, from there for a quick walk through to Shibuya on my way to meet a friend in Roppongi.

Day 257 - From Fukuoka to Shinjuku

I woke up to the view of the tower in Fukuoka harbor and rain, lots of rain. It was a nice enough journey on the ferry, I slept quite well on the tatami mat so wasn't too tired and decide to brave the rain and go out to take some photos.
