My last day in New York and one of the last days of my trip began with a walk around Brooklyn.

Day 369 - NYC Downtown Architecture

After posting a lot of people photos the past days I thought a small change would be good for today's post.

Day 368 - Just NY People

One of my favorite places in Manhattan is the High Line, a great park and great use of the old elevated rail tracks, more cities should do this and use the old industrial remnants like this.

Day 367 - Different Sides of New York

You never know what you come across when you walk around in New York, even snow in August. In order to come across something new, I decided to go to Brighton Beach and Coney Island today.

Day 366 - Hello New York!

After doing some more photography and enjoying a nice brunch in Boston, it was time to hop on the bus and head to New York.

Living in New York

Last day in New York for this trip and I already miss it, had a very nice time here (as always really).
For my next trip here I need to start taking the subway more rather than walking everywhere, walking is quite tiring but allows me to see things I would not see in the subway but then I might miss great opportunities in the subway.

The GXR performed very well and the Nokton 35mm f1.2 is very versatile and I am glad I brought it along, despite the size and weight.

New York, New York

New York, finally back here. I love the city, the people and always feel right at home here. I am always very motivated to go out, wander the streets, take pictures and simply soak in the atmosphere.
New York has an effect on me that I want to take pictures and I can see this always on the number of pictures I take.

Today, I also got to meet with Tim, a fellow Ricoh photographer and reader of my blog. That's the great thing about using Ricoh cameras and the smaller number of people using them, you get to socialize more. Since getting my first GRD an starting my blog, I have met people from around the world and around the world.

Thanks to Tim for taking the time to meet and for the interesting photo walk and discussion.

A longer series this time but I was not good enough at filtering through and liked too many pictures for the one or other reason.

The Ones That Didn't Make It

After my flight back to the UK and having to work right after I did not take any pictures today so decided to just post a series with pictures I really liked from my trip but for some reason did not fit in the series to be posted.

People Waiting

This is a series on waiting since I had to do this for a bit recently with the airlines and security at airports, not to mention queues at the Apple store in NYC.

New York Times

GF1, f2.0, 1/2500, ISO 320, JPG, 40mm

I have carried the 40mm pancake lens with me the whole holiday and have not taken a single picture with it so on what was supposed to be my last day I thought I will use it. Now thanks to Delta airlines overbooking their flight I have another day in New York so might use the 40mm again tomorrow.

I like this picture because it's almost b&w aside from the yellow and it was supposed to round up my trip with another taxi picture after the first picture from my New York trip.

People and the Ferry

I have not taken the Staten Island ferry since the first time I came to New York in 2004 so I thought to take it again today. This is a series of pictures taken around my ferry trip back and forth to Staten Island.
The pictures are taken with the Canon FD and the Nokton.
