One Way

GXR A12-M, f4.0, 1/400, ISO 228, RAW, 75mm (Jupiter-8 f2.0 50mm LTM)
Todays photo shows why as a photographer you should not use polarized sunglasses because you won't see the screen as soon as you turn the camera into portrait mode to take a photo.

Preacher Guy

GR, f2.8, 1/320, ISO 100, RAW
I don't think much of religions of any sort and find people preaching about god and the end of the world quite funny. This guy has been standing on London Bridge for a while and tried different way to get noticed and when a megaphone didn't work, he resorted to climb up on the pillar to get attention.
I guess if he's enjoying it it's the main thing but his efforts would probably be better spent trying to sell something of actual value and what people care about. Still, if the world does end he can say he was right and nobody listened. ;)

Shootout

GR, f6.3, 1/320, ISO 100, RAW
Another nice and sunny day in London and not necessary a day where you want to be in the office, still I did enjoy my lunch at the Barbican and a nice walk to London Bridge after work.
Having the GR is great, a really capable camera in a very small package so it's excellent to carry around every day. It was the same with the GRDs but due to the APS sensor of the GR, there's even less reason to be looking for any other camera.

1 London Bridge

GR, f8.0, 1/125, ISO 100, RAW
Back at work and London after the day out yesterday but it wasn't too bad overall and the nice sunshine late in the afternoon helped on the way home.
I took a few photos of this building and always try to do more with the reflections but I do like this photo.

Man in Orange

GR, f8.0, 1/320, ISO 100, RAW
Another nice and sunny day, the light was very good when I walked out of London Bridge station due to the low sun. I liked the bright orange colour and the shadows  when walking past.

Foggy Morning

GR, f8.0, 1/250, ISO 100, RAW
The day started with a lot of fog but it turned out to be a very nice and sunny day in the afternoon. Still, the fog did make the walk across London Bridge a bit more atmospheric and a change from the usual.

Hug

GR, f6.3, 1/320, ISO 560, RAW

After the past rather dull and grey days, the sun came out this morning and it ended up being a very nice day. I went for a walk during my lunch break but this photo I took on my way back home.

Early Morning Commute

GR, f5.6, 1/640, ISO 100, RAW

Commuting in London is one of the worst things that you can ever experience but there is one way of commuting that is actually very enjoyable and this is taking the boat to work. This means you need to live along the route and be willing to pay extra but it's a very nice way to get to work. While I can't commute by boat, at least I don't have to take the Tube because there is really nothing worse than that.

Pink Clouds

GR, f5.0, 1/6, ISO 100, RAW

Having to walk across London Bridge every day to and from work can be tedious at times due to the number of people who are all in a rush and don't seem to have any flow to how they walk. Still, look around and you are usually rewarded with some nice views over Tower Bridge and the Shard.

Pigeon Talk

GR, f6.3, 1/320, ISO 3200, RAW

It's been a long and busy day but I still managed to get some photography in between, this photo I took on my way to work.

Boats on the Thames

GR, f8.0, 4 sec., ISO 100, RAW

It might be a bit overused of a subject and maybe a bit cliché but I did like the light and how the boats turned up due to the long exposure. This and it breaks off the usual people and street photo themes on my blog.

A Walk with the GRD

I took my GRD I with me to go out and take some photos around London. I like the black and white quality and figured it would be nice to take some street shots with it.

The weather was quite nice and there were a lot of people out and about so it provided plenty of opportunities to take photos.

London is always nice if you can just walk around and don't need to be anywhere, when you can just wander and take photos.

Around Borough

I joined a few photography meetup groups in London but don't always get to go to the meetups and with my travels I haven't been in a while. So it made sense to go to the 'We Shoot People!' meetup and exhibition visit of the London Photography Festival near Borough.
