Wise Guy

GRD, f4.5, 1/400, ISO 400, JPG b&w

I just love any form of industrial photography and would like to to more of this, so if anyone has a photography job for me in this area let me know ;).

This shot I took on my way to work, the light in the morning was very good and together with the steam really added the right atmosphere to the picture. It was not until this guy walked in front that this picture really worked for me, you can see a different perspective in my New York gallery on the last page.

  1. I think, without doubt, this is the best shot I have seen of yours - its perfect.

  2. I like this shot as well.

  5. Thank you for your comments guys! Glad you like the picture.

Tom, if you want to handle a GRD III or CX in New York go to Adorama on 42W 18th street between 5th and 6th. They are not cheap and the service could be better but they have Ricoh cameras in stock.
Alternatively you can get a GRD III to trial from Tony Rose at

  6. The presence of the figure balances out the composition to make a superb shot.

  7. Thanks for your comment Calvin!
I was waiting for the guy to walk in the picture.
