Views from the Lakes - Day 1

After a 3 hour train journey, I arrived at the Lake district in Windermere,  from there a boat journey to Ambleside and a walk to the falls here.

I took the GXR A12-M with CV 12mm lens for the landscapes,  the Ricoh GR lens for street photography and the Jupiter-8 lens for when I need to get closer.

At first look the Lake District reminds me a lot of Scotland but not quite as green and the lakes are not quite as big as the lochs.

  3. A feast of images. Wonderful small detail. The mossy old seat is excellent, as are the waterfall shots. Wonderful natural greens.

  4. Thanks for your comments!

The Lake District is a very nice place to spend a few days in and it's great for photography.

The coins were all in an old tree trunk, no idea why people have done it but I assume it's to show that money does indeed grow on trees. ;)
