Took this after work at Bank station, I always find it funny that they put the signs to "Keep Left" but no one pays attention and walks on the right side. Guess going or driving on the right side is more natural to people ;).
Don't see your logic there. Yes we always stand on the right, but we drive on the left (though sit in the right seat).
I think its because in most cases in a bank of escalators, the up one is on the right. So standing on the escalator on the right means you are next to the wall.
You can catch some great expressions of people going on the other escalator.
I know what you mean. Just for the fun of it I tried to follow what the signs said and stayed left just to get a lot of angry looks by walking against the stream ;).
Not sure about the left or right debate. Actually, I find it quite funny that both the man in the poster and the man walking past look into your camera. And both man share some resemblance... .

Yesbuts, my comment was more referring to Bank station where no one really follows the signs that say 'Keep Left'.
ReplyDeleteHi Cristi
ReplyDeleteI have seen the signs in other stations - guess what, they are also ignored there. People invariably stay to the right.
