Chinatown in Bangkok

To get a change from the usual, I went to Chinatown in Bangkok to take some photos and get dinner.

Chinatown certainly makes for a nice change, especially at night, thanks to the lit up signs.

It's very busy and the prices for food are higher than they should be, given Chinese food is usually quite inexpensive.
It's still worth a visit and makes for a nice change.

Everyone is looking for an exit or a way out at times. Sometimes the way out is illuminated and sometimes it's more difficult to find but its always worth taking the time to find the way out of anything that's holding one back or trapped.

Hello

Took this while out for a walk ion the morning, I liked the light and the blue in the sign and handles.

No Parking

Took this while out for a walk during lunch, I liked how the car was parked in front of the building and only noticed the 'No Parking' sign once I got closer to take the picture.

Just a simple picture I took on my way to work today. I liked the red in between all the grey and the shadows.
Looking at the last two pictures maybe I should keep my theme for this week at St. Paul's and no people.

Took this on my way back home while passing St. Paul's, I liked the bright yellow colour and the fact that the sign did not fit at all in the scene and stood out.

Ok, don't ask me how I managed to introduce camera shake here other than maybe overdoing it with the coffee but I still like the picture despite some camera shake.

Head to Head

I have way too may cameras probably but none is more enjoyable to use than the GRD I, it has it's quirks and it a bit outdated comapred to the GXR or GRD III but it is just more fun to use than either.
This year Ricoh will release the GRD IV and I hope they will go back to basics and deliver a camera that does less but this better than any other camera out there.

North Pole

With the recent weather in London you might be tempted to think you arrived at the Norh Pole, just the transport system at the North Pole is probably way better. On the other hand having to walk through the snow does have advantages especially if you see a phto opportunity like this.

Humped Crossing

I took only a handfull of pictures today. I was mainly writing the rest of my CX1 review diary and had to reinstall my notebook. I thought I try Windows 7 on it but I could not find all drivers because it is a bit too old.
This is one of the few pictures where I actually use the flash on purpose for the effect it gives or as fill light, in this case I used it for both.

New World Odor

Had the GRD II along with me today. Took this picture while out for a walk near Brick Lane. I took a picture of the poster but was about to delete it when the guy came out and this made the picture for me so I chose it as the picture for today.

Keep Left

Took this after work at Bank station, I always find it funny that they put the signs to "Keep Left" but no one pays attention and walks on the right side. Guess going or driving on the right side is more natural to people ;).
