Another rail and sail journey this long bank holiday weekend, arrived in Holyhead as a stopover on my way to Dublin.

While taking trains and ferries does take longer than flying, it is a lot more relaxing and you get to see more. The other benefit is that you can book the tickets just before you travel so a last minute holiday is no problem.

    There are 'for sale' signs almost everywhere in and around Holyhead, it seems like a lot of people have moved away.
