The Spirit of the Spanish

Tonight, I went to see the World Cup finals with friends near Oxford Circus. The pub was full of Spanish supporters so the atmosphere during and especially after the game was fantastic.
It did not stop there though since the Spanish fans took to the streets after the game and caused a bit of a chaos in Piccadilly Circus on their way to Trafalgar Square where everyone seemed to gather and was celebrating till late...or early for some as I can imagine.

I only had the GRD III with me, something I regretted a bit since the low light capabilities are nowhere near as good as on the GRD I or the GF1.

  1. Looks like a great night of celebration and you have captured the spirit.

  2. I'm suprised to hear you say that. One would think the faster lens, improved sensor & processing engine would give the GRD III the upper hand over the GRD I....

  3. Thanks for your comments!

I like the GRD III and it is great but in low light it does not give the same results as the GRD I does. The fast lens surely helps but the JPGs are really bad and also the worse problem is the banding I wrote about in my GRD III review. This negates the faster lens since even ISO 800 shows banding but not quite as bad and the GRD I JPGs are much better.

So if I need a camera for low light photography the GRD III is not one I would go to.
