5 Degrees of Barcelona
I spent the last five days in Barcelona with a lot to see and do and no internet to post anything. So instead of just going back and reposting the daily pictures I decided to do things different this time round.
Instead of posting the picture or pictures of the correcponding day I will post a theme for each day with pictures taken over the whole 5 days. For people who don't like to go back and revisit old posts I have 5 pictures here that show each of the themes in some ways but also give an impression of how I have seen Barcelona.
If you want to see the whole collection of my favorite pictures there is again a Dropbox link available here or by using the Dropbox Galleries link on the right.
Before going I had to make a decision of which camera to take with me and this time it fell on the GF1 but the lens selection was more complicated, it had to be the 7-14mm lens due to he wideangle I knew I would need for the architecture but I also needed the 40mm for street photography in low light and last it was a hard decision between the Olympus 14-42mm kit lens or the Canon FD 50mm lens. In the end the Canon lens won due to it being more vesatile and the kit lens not exceeding at anything and being too slow for any real use.

Sagrada Familia
Although I don't usually post on the 27th of November since I consider this my day off, I decided to make an exception this year seeing since I missed quite a few posts.
Certainly the highlight of any visit to Barcelona will be a visit to the Sagrada Familia and although on first look it looks like a big building site all this will be forgoten once you look closer and you will be trully amazed once you step inside. So to conclude my Barcelona series I have selected 10 pictures I took at the Sagrada Familia.
I was very happy to have the 7-14mm lens with me here as you can probably see, although the 50mm lens got also some use.

People in Barcelona
Architecture is great but it's nothing without the people so today's post shows some of the people living and working in between all the architecture from my previous posts.

Gaudi
Barcelona is Gaudi's city and you can see his work and inspirations of his work everywhere so my first post is dedicated to this and shows just a few impressions of his work.

Just a Lamp
GF1, f1.7, 1/1000, ISO 200, JPG, 70mm (Fujinan f1.7 35mm c-mount)
Today, I finally got my broadband internet connection installed adnd could catch up with my blog posting.
But not only that, I also received my new c-mount lens to play around with and so far it looks like great fun. Using it wide open with focus at infinity gives almost a tilt-shift effect so this is cool.
