Hackney Walk
A nice and sunny Saturday in London so instead of heading out to Brighton or go to one of the many parks, I decided to go for a walk around Hackney.
It started off at Blackfriars and then via the Barbican and Old Street to Shoreditch and Columbia Road, Broadway Market and finishing off at London Fields (Brewery).
No matter how London looks during a weekday, when it's nice and sunny on a weekend it always appears much better. People are more laid back, happy and enjoying the sunshine.
For the walk, I took the Panasonic LC1 along and enjoyed using it a lot. It produces great images with a very unique character and despite the size and weight it's a pleasure to use.

Hiking in Eastbourne
Having a long weekend is always a great opportunity to go away and out of London. Today's plan was to go to Eastbourne,
While the day started nice and sunny, it became cloudy and a bit chilly just as I arrived at the beach to start hiking along the cliffs.
For this outing, I decided on taking the Panbasonic LC-1 along since I haven't used it in years and it's a fantastic camera.
I enjoyed both the hike and also using the Panasonic LC-1 again. It's always great to go out of London and do some photograhy with nice to use cameras.

Cutty Sark
LC1, f6.3, 1/1600, ISO 100, RAW, 28mm
After spending quite a bit of my day looking into stock photography, I had to get out and take some pictures and stuck with the LC1 now that is was dusted off. Using the LC1 is very nice and it has a nice way of working and great feel to using it.

Three Feet
LC1, f6.3, 1/500, ISO 100, RAW
Dusted my Panasonic LC1 off again and took it with me for a stroll around Greenwich. Liked the impressions left in the sand and tried two different compositions but preferred this one.

Day in Arundel
I haven't taken the Panasonic LC-1 out in quite a while so when I decided to go to Arundel for the day it was an easy decision to take it along. Despite all new cameras I have and that are out there, the LC-1 remains unique and a joy to use. The image quality is very good, especially considering the old sensor in there.
Arundel is a very nice place to spend the day, the castle is big and fun to explore but also the town itself is very nice with old houses, nice pubs and restaurants. For photographers it's also worth going to spend some time looking at the antique shop's camera section.
This is a longer series than usual but I wanted to make up for not posting many LC-1 pictures recently.

Visit to Scotney Castle
Another day out in Kent, this time with the LC1. It did as usual an excellent job and I really enjoy using it, hopefully Panasonic will release a LC2 at some point with only a newer sensor and some minor tweaks on the camera.

Bonnie Banks of Loch Venachar
LC1, f4.5, 1/1000, ISO 100, RAW, 28mm
I planned another series for today but decided that one picture is enough and did not want to post too many similar landscape pictures.

From Loch Ness to Loch Tay
A shorter series today with pictures taken on Loch Ness, the Glen Affric falls and the last is from Loch Tay.
While taking pictures at the Glen Affric waterfall, both cameras got completely drenched by the spray and I probably spent more time cleaning the water from the front of the lens than actually taking pictures but it was worth it and the cameras fared very well in this situation. Guess it shows that you don't really need a weatherproof camera if the build quality is good enough.

From the Trossachs to the Highlands
The landscape in Scotland is simply breathtaking, the only problem is with the roads that don't allow stopping in the right places and the speed limit which is way to high to really enjoy the scenery. My suggestion would be to lower the speed limit to 40 mph and allow people to really see the landscape but also to create more opportunities to park the car and take pictures.
I have taken lots of pictures and did not do a very good job at selecting only 5 so instead I just posted a full series on Flickr, so sorry for people with Apple devices which don't support Flash content and won't be able to see anything.
The pictures are taken with the LC1 and the GXR A12 28mm and are all processed RAW files, it is surprising how well the LC1 5MP RAW files hold up against the much bigger 12MP APS sensor in the GXR.

Visit to Scotland
LC1, f2.4, 1/60, ISO 100, RAW, 90mm
Back to Scotland would have been the more appropriate title since I used to live here for 12 months when moving to the UK. But this is quite a while ago and then I did not even own a camera or had any interest in taking pictures. So thanks to another bank holiday in the UK I managed to get back there and go to see some of the places I never had time to visit and also take pictures of the fantastic landscape there.
The cameras I decided to take along was the LC1 and GXR with 28mm A12 module. Initially I only planned to take the LC1 along since it was due for another outing and I just like using the camera but then decided to take the GXR and A12 module for the higher DR and to have a smaller camera along. Both cameras performed very well and survived getting wet in the rain, from the spray of waterfalls and both at the same time even.
I had a great time there and quite miss Scotland even though living in Paisley was not really being in the nicest part of Scotland. The next days will see some series from my travels around the Trosachs and Highlands so be prepared for some landscape pictures.

Walk around the White Cliffs
While I have been to Dover before and got back fairly unimpressed I decided to go back there with friends today. We decided to take a walk along the cliffs and go to visit the South Foreland Lighthouse.
The walk was very nice and provided lots of photo opportunities, I took my LC1 with me since I love using the camera and have not taken it out much. I did not regret it and it performed very well so I decided to post a whole series of pictures.
