GRD, f2.4, 1/160, ISO 400, JPG b&w
No camera produces b&w images quite like the GRD I, it is quite unique and this is partly what makes the GRD I special and why in my pinion it still stands out between all the small sensor compacts and why I would recommend it over any of the newer GRDs.
Amazing this is an ISO 400 JPG. Have you done any PP at all?
ReplyDeleteAnother great shot. Such a nice contrast from whites to blacks. As Old 57 said, is this a straight jpeg? If so, I must get myself an original GRD!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments!
ReplyDeleteI only shoot the GRD I in JPG mode and don't bother with the RAW due to the long write time of 13 seconds. When I shoot b&w I either set the camera at ISO 400 or ISO 1600 and do no other processing to the images. This is the reason I like the GRD I so much and despite it's age still consider it the best small sensor camera.
Yeah it is so impressive with it's 'straight out of the camera' JPGs. I just wish mine still worked :(
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment Bill!
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame your GRD I does not work anymore as it's a fantastic camera but it was never the most reliable one.
