The Pentax Limited 43mm is a great lens however and fits great on the a7s.

Kew Gardens
While in Kew attending and photographing a friend's wedding, I also got to use Tom's Sony a7s with the Pentax Limited 43mm f1.9 LTM lens on it.
The weather was not great and I didn't have much time to take photos of the gardens but I did get some photos while wandering around some of the green houses.
The a7s is a very nice camera and it works great with the Pentax lens on it. Walking around Kew gardens was also very nice despite the somewhat grey and cold weather.

Taking Stock
GR, f2.8, 1/125, ISO 400, RAW |
Another mostly dull and grey day but it was the "krims krams" day at Spitalfields market so always nice for a stroll to see what kind of junk people sell and buy. Some of it is nice enough but a lot of the stuff is more junk or clutter but I guess it's right up the alley for some hipsters and fits in the whole retro style for some people.
This photo actually works a bit better in 3:2 format and colour but it does work quite well even with the theme for the week. You can see the colour version on Flickr.

Square London
GR, f8.0, 4 sec., ISO 100, RAW |
I planned on having something more fitting for St. Patrick's Day and maybe have a photo of a pint of Guinness instead. Still, I took this photo after having some Guinness and being on my way back.
Maybe it's a bit of a boring photo that everyone takes and I have posted a few photos like that but maybe the square format makes it slightly different.

A Walk Around Hampstead
The day started with lots of sunshine and it seemed like a great day to go out and take photos. After arranging to go to Hampstead Heath, I set off just to have clouds move in and it getting quite cold.
With the clouds and grey skies the walk around Hampstead Heath was a bit boring and not very eventful for photography.
Thankfully it cleared up later in the afternoon and the sun came out so it made the walk and photography a lot more enjoyable.
Hampstead is a ok area but a bit hyped from what people make it sound to be, it's nice enough to go and see it if you're around but does not really warrant a special trip in my view.

It's been a great day with a lot of sunshine again so I made the most out of my lunch break and went for a walk but more to enjoy the sun than to take photos. I did take some photos at Spitalfields market but as with the recent days I wasn't hugely inspired. It's all a bit of the same so despite the nice weather it is difficult to keep myself motivated.

Cranes in the Morning
GR, f8.0, 1/1000, ISO 100, RAW |
It's been a nice and sunny morning and I took (unwillingly) a slightly longer walk to work to get some fresh air after being packed in a crappy train. Still, it meant I could take some photos and enjoy a bit the sunshine.
This one is one of the many building sites around the City and London, they keep building more offices and flats nobody can afford so more people have to commute in to London every morning to make the trains even more packed. I miss Asia where you swing on your motorbike and go where you need in a few minutes.

It's been a busy day at work so I didn't get to do much photography but after a client meeting I had a few minutes to take some photos. I might have as well spent the evening taking photos because it took me ages to get home thanks to the Southern train incompetence to ever run a train on time.

Million Women March
It's been a. great day, very warm and sunny so ideal for some photography. So I decided to join the Simple Street Photography meet up group to take some photos.
The plan was to go and take photos around Oxford Street but since there was a demonstration planned it made sense to go and take photos of that.
It was a demonstration of women against violence. Everyone was in a good mood, helped by the nice weather no doubt and the purpose of the demonstration.
I took the GXR A12-M and the GR with me to take photos but had a bad battery day and forgot to fully charge the batteries I had with me. This meant I needed to make sure I didn't run out of batteries.
We walked along with the demonstration from Bond Street all the way to Trafalgar Square where we went for a pint and a chat afterwards.
It was a very nice day out and great to meet the other photographers .

It's been another nice and sunny day in London and since I had a meeting near Victoria it meant I did get a change of scenery. It was good to get to a different area in London even if it meant taking the Tube.
While I didn't have too much time for photography, a few photos I had to take while out of the office.

Jack Savoretti
I went to see and hear Jack Savoretti in Shepherd's Bush after work, I got the tickets from a very good friend as a present. It was a great concert and the venue was small enough to feel intimate but without feeling crowded so that was cool.
I first heard of Jack Savoretti while watching Sons of Anarchy and since the music in the show was always very good I ended up listening to the soundtrack a lot.
It was a nice evening and I enjoyed the concert a lot. Unfortunately I didn't relay go well prepared in terms of photography since the GR is not an ideal camera for concert photography.
Unless you're in the first row, you have to use the 35mm crop mode but even then don't relay get close enough. Here the GF1 and 50mm Canon lens would have probably more useful. On the other hand it meant I ended up focusing less on photography and even more on the music so it wasn't all that bad.

It's been a nice and sunny day for most of the time so it was great to get out of the office and go for a walk during lunchtime. I can never understand people who don't go out of the office during the day, it's essential for me to get some fresh air and just get a break from work even if only for half an hour.
Taking photos during that time is even better but it's mostly about getting a break.

Herne Hill to Dulwich Walk
Its been a very nice and sunny day so it was grate to get out and take photos. It was even better that there was a photo meet up not to far from my flat in Herne Hill.
The meet up started in Herne Hill with a walk across the market to take photos of the people there.
Being a nice day there were a lot of people around so it was fun to take photos. I had the RD1 with me so enjoyed the challenge of guessing what I take photos of because I don't relay like using the OVF, it makes shooting less fluid and I don't like having a camera pressed against my face.
After a walk around the market we set off towards Dulwich and to take photos of the old buildings before getting to the Dulwich Picture Gallery.
It was a nice day helped by the great weather although the meet up ended up a bit early, which gave me a chance of meeting a friend in town afterwards.
