After not having much time to take pictures with the GXR, I could take it out longer today. The image quality is very good and the bigger sensor sure helps with the dynamic range.
I like the photo and tonality how do you find the AF on this lens module? Will you be writing up any further experience or thoughts about the camera? Thanks!
Ricoh has kindly agreed to let me use the sample camera a bit longer so I will try to write further impressions on the GXR 50mm module. At the moment I am thinking wether to make a larger post on my Wordpress blog or to maybe just continue here.
The AF on this module is pretty slow, similar to the GX200 or GRD II. It is much slower than the Panasonic m4/3 cameras. The biggest issue for me is the LCD freeze while the camera focuses. The AF is fast enough for static subjects but not great for any fast moving subjects.
