Village Market
Markets are always great for photography and this applies even more in smaller villages.
People are very nice and a smile helps make friends fast. They are all also happy to pose for photos so the more difficult task will be to take some candid photos since I'm standing out between the locals.
It's well worth top visit these small markets in any country you're in.

River View
Being back in Vietnam is great but unlike last time I'm not here just for fun so I had to spend quite a big part of my day and sort out paperwork. While not very exciting if it all goes according to plan it will allow me to spend more time raveling around Vietnam and Asia.
For now there will be less focus on photography but I'll keep the blog going with a photo a day.

Back in Vietnam
After a long journey but a nice one, I've arrived in Da Nang last night. The city has changed quite a bit since my last visit but this is a good thing and why I'm back in Vietnam.
Still, as nice as Da Nang is, my destination was Hue so after having coffee and taking it a bit easy in the morning it was time to get back on the motorbike and drive to Hue.
It's great to have a motorbike (or moped/scooter for people who want to be precise) as it means a lot of freedom here and makes getting around so much more pleasant.

8h in Bangkok
8 hours and 8 photos from Bangkok, not my bast work photographically but after a 10 hour flight and having to lug my backpack ion the heat around I didn't make photography a priority.
Bangkok was never my favorite city but somehow it feels like all roads lead to it, I've been in and out of Bangkok so many times by now that I have some places I always visit, most if the times these remain the only places.
While the last times I've been here the city saw it's fair share of demonstrations it was all back to normal now.
Bangkok is a great hub to Asia since it's cheap to get here and to get anywhere else in Asia from here is easy and even more inexpensive.
After my 8h stopover it was time to fly onward to Ho Chi Minh City and from there to Da Nang.

Leaving on a Jet Plane
After spending a few days in Germany, visiting family and seeing some friends but not doing much photography, it was time to leave Europe and head to Asia.
After taking the train to Frankfurt I was ready for the first leg of my journey, the flight to Bangkok.
It will be an exciting time and I have no idea how things will turn out of what will happen but I know it will be a good change.

Goodbye London!
It's been a great time here despite the commuting every morning.
Now it's time to move on and experience a different life style halfway around the world.

GX100 in Greenwich
A day in Greenwich with a great friend who has helped me a lot through the past months so it was great to spend the day chatting and taking photos.
Greenwich has changed quite a lot recently but it's still the nicest part of London together with Blackheath.
While I had a lot of cameras to decide between, I went with the GX100 since it's still a fantastic camera and still going strong even after all this time.
While I won't miss most parts of London, I will miss Greenwich and just chilling at a pub by the river and enjoying a pint.

Sunday in B&W
After a rainy start to the day the sun came out and it ended up being quite nice. I went for a walk around Bankside, Borough and the Tate Modern before going to check out a exhibition at the Bargehouse.
There were a lot of people out and about enjoying the sunshine and a drink by the Thames.
The Bargehouse is always worth a visit even if the exhibition itself is not that great but the exhibition this time was actually very good.
It was a student exhibition from a music and drama university in Wales so quite interesting and especially the miniatures they've done were really cool.

Hackney Walk
A nice and sunny Saturday in London so instead of heading out to Brighton or go to one of the many parks, I decided to go for a walk around Hackney.
It started off at Blackfriars and then via the Barbican and Old Street to Shoreditch and Columbia Road, Broadway Market and finishing off at London Fields (Brewery).
No matter how London looks during a weekday, when it's nice and sunny on a weekend it always appears much better. People are more laid back, happy and enjoying the sunshine.
For the walk, I took the Panasonic LC1 along and enjoyed using it a lot. It produces great images with a very unique character and despite the size and weight it's a pleasure to use.
