Keep Your Head Down

LC1, f6.7, 1/500, ISO 100, JPG b&w, 51mm

Another picture for the LC1 week. So far all have been taken using manual focus.
While walking past this building site I noticed the reflections and decided to hang around and snap a few shots of people passing by. This was the best, there is something about her and the way she has her head down.

  1. Well captured - she's deep in thought (shall I buy a new pair of shoes?)

  2. Thanks.
She looked really deep in thought but also a bit like a zombie with the way she has her head in a quite strange position with her hair hanging down.

  3. It could be a cover of an album. And a lamp cab replacing her head.
    A fascinating photograph.

  4. This is "one of those pictures"..Love it and makes me think on how reality can be manipulated by a good image: She was probably only thinking about her shoping list, but the confluence of the elements and your good eye made a great image with a strong emotion of it..The truth about the emotions of your stranger and the reality of her thoughts will remain a mistery forever!!

  5. Thanks Erik. This is the great thing about street photography. You capture what is there, a fleeting gesture or emotion but in the final picture it can be interpreted in different ways.
