This shot works so well, with the woman apparently looking at the ads but also the pattern of her coat is echoed by the lines on the platform and the cables. It all kind of gels together wonderfully well.
Did you have to wait for main subject to enter to the frame for you to capture or everything fall into place and you're just there to capture? This is what I always want to ask you, when I saw these two well captured images and your others street shot were so flesh, unplanned and spontaneous.
Just a wonderful reportage shot, love the juxtaposition with the flyers.
Thanks for your comments!I was waiting for the train and saw her in front of the billboard and it struck me as an interesting subject so I decided to take a picture.Muddy, some of my street pictures are planned in a way that I see an interesting setting and wait for the right person to come along (like my Exit picture) but most pictures are spontaneous and unplanned. It pays off to always keep your eyes open and a camera ready, there are opportunities everywhere.
Nice one CristiMy GRD, she lives again!
Thanks for your comment Lili and glad to hear your GRD is fine again. Enjoy it, it is a special camera.
