Day 140 - A Very Hanoi Christmas
Merry Christmas to everyone around the world and have a great time wherever you are!
I ended up spending my Christmas with friends in Hanoi. I did not know what to expect but saw the decoration street with all the Christmas decorations before while walking around.
So I figured heading there for walk on Christmas would be fun and there were lots of people still buying some last minute decorations and presents.
The min part of the Hanoi Christmas celebrations seems centered around the Hoan Kiem lake where it seems that everyone from Hanoi is either walking or driving around the lake.
There were people dressed as Santa on bikes, people wearing Santa hats walking around, the ever present balloon sellers with the themed balloons, people dancing and even some Santas handing out presents.
It was really packed with lots of people around but it was fun and everyone had a good time. I took quite a lot of photos around and enjoyed the experience.
Tomorrow, I will be heading south towards Ninh Binh and it will be time to leave Hanoi once again.

Hope you have a good one!
Thanks Kesh and Merry Christnas to you, too!
ReplyDeleteI hope the updated post will give you an idea of how they celebrate but it's mostly enjoying the decorations for them, which is the best way to celebrate it. :)
