1:15pm at St. Pancras

CX1, f4.4, 1/70, ISO 141, JPG b&w

The 2nd Ricohforum meetup is approaching fast and it's in 2 weeks. This meant I had to sort out a few last things to organize everything a bit beter. We have a photo walk planned from Kings Cross St. Pancras along the canals to Camden and then finish in Primrose Hill. Today, I had to take the walk myself to see how long it would take and what we can do along the way. It is quite a nice walk and should offer plenty of nice photographic opportunities.
I took this picture in St. Pancras International station, it is really the nicest train station in London. This is not difficult however because most stations in London look pretty shabby but it is very nice.

  2. Thanks Nick! I really like b&w photography and find the biggest advantage of compact cameras or cameras with an EVF over dSLRs or Rangefinders is that you can see the picture in b&w on the LCD or EVF.

I hope you can make it to the meet-up, it would be great to meet you.

  3. St Pancras is a gem - and to think in the 60's they wanted to demolish it. It was only saved by the campaign led by John Betjeman.
You might consider one day walking east along the canal from The Angel to Victoria Park.

  6. Thanks Yesbuts, I will definitely try the walk sometimes.

This is great Nick, we have updated the map for our walk now and have the details.

Thanks Wouter, Ricoh does read the forums and a big part of the blogs but it will be good for other people to get in touch and send their ideas and comments, too.

  7. Getting in contact with the people after reading the blogs and forums is a nice way of appreciation I think. I hope they do. Maybe you could express that to the Ricoh representative.

  8. I will mention this Wouter but I think the meetups are there in order to get in touch with people.

  9. I agree Cristi, but the amount of people who will attent these meet-ups will always be small while the majority of users will be elsewhere.

  10. You are right Wouter and from my talks wit Ricoh they do follow the wishes of people as far as possible as can be seen on their cameras although they can not accomodate everything.
