In Bangkok now after spending some time in Cambodia.
As you can see from my last post, my Surface charger and the GXR with lenses got stolen in the train to Ho Chi Minh so this meant I could not keep up with my blog updates or photo backups.
I have still quite a bit to go through to catch up but hopefully it won't take too long now that I finally found a charger and can use my Surface again.
I guess it's also Happy Halloween to everyone! :)
Oh no. Very angry. :-(
ReplyDeleteHi Cristian,
ReplyDeleteMaybe you'll also find some exiting new gear to replace your stolen GXR with once you're in Japan :-)
Very regrettably indeed. But someone will need the stolen things. They will never be useless. At least that's what I would say to myself in similar situations just to keep peace. Hope your best lenses are not among them.
ReplyDeleteVery sorry to hear that the GXR and lenses were stolen, just when you had got the hang of working it! I guess you will have to do it all with the GR until you get some more kit.
ReplyDeletePeter
Thanks for all your comments!
ReplyDeleteI have now finally found a charger so at least this problem is solved .
As for the GXR, it is a shame but I will just replace it and the lenses once I get back after my trip so it will not be a big problem. For now I am enjoying my trip and will see what else comes up. :)
Whilst I'm angry/disappointed for you, I'm wondering whether you would be more upset if they had taken the GR? If only you had taken my X100s...I might have been able to avoid having to sell it on eBay :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad you found the charger :-)
Kesh, I would have been a lot happier if the GR would have been stolen as I could have bought a replacement the same day when I picked up Tom's GR.
ReplyDeleteThe Surface charger and especially GXR lenses are a lot harder to replace.
Hi Cristian.
DeleteI see. I guess the availability of the GXR (esp M module and lenses) is not very high.
Are you going to look for another GXR?
Hey Kesh, I will eventually get another GXR M as it's still a fantastic camera and the best for M lenses. For now, I will continue with what I have.
