RD1 Photo Walk

Saturday is always a good time to meet people and go out to take photos and it was no different today.

I took my RD1 with the Nokton 40mm lens, to use one more time before selling it, and headed to Whitecross Street to grab a coffee and meet with Kesh and Tom.

On our way towards Camera Cafe and while doing a quick stop at Red Dot Camera, we ran into Dan and decided to all set off to Camera Cafe and take some photos along the way.

We all had different cameras but it was good fun to shoot on the street and afterwards look through our photos while enjoying a pint in a pub.

I do like how the RD1 performs and while it's very frustrating to shoot without a live view screen, it was overall fun and I managed to guess reasonably well the framing. With exception of the 2nd photo, all others were shot without using the OVF and by holding the RD1 like a p&s camera (which is best for street photography if you ask me).

Day 361 - The Way to Philly

I woke up to a foggy landscape but it made for some interesting views. The train was as suspected still running late but managed to make up a bit of time and thanks to the more developed network here it was only 1h late now instead of 2h.

Day 359 - People in New Orleans

I spent the whole day walking around Downtown, Canal Street and the French Quarter and taking photos, it was great fun and I got a lot of photos.

Day 358 - The City of New Orleans

My train left quite early in the morning from Memphis to New Orleans but it was on time and meant it would get into New Orleans by 15:30.

Day 357 - Memphis

After a night of freezing in the Amtrak refrigerator car from Chicago, I finally made it to Memphis just after sunrise and it was good to be out of the train.

Day 356 - Chicago

When you look at some of my photos from the past weeks, it looks like I spent it all at the beach. Well, Chicago has it's own beaches and you are forgiven to think you are by the sea given how big the lake really is.

Day 354 - People in Denver

Since I had an extra day in Denver and I already managed to see the main sights on my first visit and also yesterday, I used the day to focus on the people around downtown.

Day 353 - Denver

The first thing to do after having breakfast was going to Union Station and check for my train ticket to Chicago and see when they had one available.

Day 352 - Salt Lake City to Denver

I had to get up early to catch the train but since I had a hunch that it would be running late, I could sleep in a bit longer than expected.

Day 351 - Salt Lake City

After a pretty comfortable night in the train I arrived in Salt Lake City, 3 hours delayed but happy because it meant instead of arriving at around 3 in the morning, it was now 6:30 so a much better time.

Day 348 - An Extra Day in Honolulu

Since I didn't plan on being here another day, I thought I take it easy and just chill, walk around a bit without doing much.

Day 347 - Pearl Harbor

My 'last' day in Honolulu was spent taking some more photos on the beach but I'll save you from that in this post. Instead it's about my rip to the Pearl Harbor museum.

Day 346 - Honolulu Beaches

After spending time around downtown yesterday, it was about the beaches today. I also thought of ging to the op of Diamond Head but was too lazy in the end.

Day 345 - The Longest Day Part 2: Honolulu

Here I was, around 28h after I left Busan at Honolulu airport and it was still Monday the 4th August and not even midday.

Day 342 - Surfing and Evening Stroll

Although I had planned to go for an overnight trip to Jinju today, I decided to go surfing with my friend here since it would be the last opportunity before leaving Busan on Monday.

Day 337 - Another Day of Surfing

I met up again with friends to go surfing at Songjeong beach and make use of the nice sunny weather.

Day 335 - Gamcheon Culture Village

I planned to go to the Gamcheon Culture Village for a few days now but things always kind of came up so I kept pushing it back.

Day 334 - Surfing

If you would have told me that I will end up not only at the beach but also surfing I would not have believed it but here I was, surfing again with my friend.

Day 330 - Views of Tongdosa Temple

Not too far from Baenaegol is Tongdosa Temple so it made sense to go and visit it before heading back to Busan.

Day 328 - Sea Clouds

It started off as as sunny day before the fog moved in but this created some really cool and dramatic scenes. Guess this is the nice thing about living by the beach, the weather keeps changing all the time.
