Day 267 - Himeji and Osaka
One of the most impressive and memorable places from my last visit was certainly Himeji castle, the only thing that spoilt the visit was the pouring rain during my last visit.
This time round the weather was perfectly fine but what kind of spoilt it was the huge scaffolding and cranes in front of the castle.

Day 266 - Hiroshima History
While there were some more grey clouds over Hiroshima it didn't mater today. The day was meant to be spent visiting the Peace Park and very good museum there so there was not all that much outdoor activity planned.

Day 265 - A Grey Day in Miyajima
It started raining late last evening and the morning didn't look any more promising. Since this was the only full day planned for Hiroshima, it made sense to head to Miyajima for a visit in order to have enough time there.

Day 264 - Kyoto to Hiroshima
The morning was set aside from visiting the main temples in north Kyoto since they were close to the ryokan so it made sense to do this before heading to the station for the Shinkansen to Hiroshima.

Friday, 25 April 2014
Day 262 - People in Kyoto
A nice and sunny day in Kyoto and I decided to head to the only main place I have not yet been and is the furthest from my Ryokan so did head to the Fushimi Inari Shrine to see the tori gates and do some hiking.

Day 261 - Matsumoto Morning and Kyoto Evening
Another nice and sunny day in Matsumoto although it was time to head to Kyoto in the afternoon. The morning was therefore spent visiting the castle properly.

Day 260 - Matsumoto Blossoms
A warm and sunny day with a clear blue sky in Matsumoto so perfect for a walk and a hike around the Alps Park near the castle.
Tuesday, 22 April 2014
Day 259 - A Day in Matsumoto
Took the train from Tokyo to Matsumoto in the morning hoping to catch some of the cherry blossoms there, it was also one place I have not yet seen in Japan.
Monday, 21 April 2014
Day 258 - Grey Skies in Tokyo
Another grey day but at least it was not raining ion the morning so I walked to Meiji Jingu, from there for a quick walk through to Shibuya on my way to meet a friend in Roppongi.

Day 257 - From Fukuoka to Shinjuku
I woke up to the view of the tower in Fukuoka harbor and rain, lots of rain. It was a nice enough journey on the ferry, I slept quite well on the tatami mat so wasn't too tired and decide to brave the rain and go out to take some photos.

Day 256 - Leaving Busan
This was not quite a very efficient day on my part, I spent part of the morning walking to the ferry port to get myself a ticket for the Osaka ferry just to discover that they had no sailings as they told me yesterday.
Friday, 18 April 2014
Day 255 - Sunny Busan Afternoon
I started the morning with a walk along the market near my hostel before heading to Haeundae to go explore the area and also visit both of the GoEun Museum of Photography locations, although they were more galleries and exhibition spaces.
Thursday, 17 April 2014
Day 254 - Sunny Morning, Rainy Evening in Busan
The day started with blue sky and sunshine so I went for another walk around the same areas I have been last evening to explore them more.

Day 253 - Evening in Busan
After going to the bus terminal and finding out that buses for Busan leave every 15 minutes and take under 2 hours, I decided to take it easy and have lunch and coffee in Gyeongju before heading to Busan.

Day 252 - Hiking and the Market in Gyeongju
I took the bus in the morning to the nearby mountain and go hiking for the day. It was a sunny day but not too hot, so ideal for hiking and for visiting Bulguksa and Seokguram temples.

Day 251 - The Green Hills of Gyeongju
I woke up to see green hills (no, not the Windows XP wallpaper!), my hotel was just overlooking one of the parks in Gyeongju and the hills were some of the old tombs of the old kings.

Day 250 - From Seoul to Gyeongju
A warm and sunny day in Seoul and it had to be the day I decided to take the train to Gyeongju, or I actually decided to take a ferry from Incheon to Jeju Island but it just so happened that the ferries were not running on Sunday. So Gyeongju which was the initial plan according to my spreadsheet got the nod.

Day 249 - More People in Seoul
Another day of sightseeing and taking photos of people in Seoul. Despite Seoul being a big and busy city, I find it very relaxing to walk through. People are friendly, cars stop when you cross the street, it is clean, safe and has a lot of different areas even without walking too far (and I have not even seen half of the city).
Friday, 11 April 2014
Day 248 - People with Seoul
Today, I planned a whole day walking around Seoul, going to visit Namsan Park for another walk around, go to the Namsangol Hanok Folk Village, visit the Changdeokgung Palace and finishing the day with a stroll though Insadong.
Thursday, 10 April 2014
Day 247 - Seoul
Arriving in South Korea or Japan, no mater where you come from, always feels like you arrived in civilization. Everything is clean and efficient, you don't need to worry about people stealing your stuff, there are free toilets everywhere, free and fast wifi, proper public transport and the people are nice on top of that.

Day 246 - Off to Seoul
After enjoying a quiet walk around Melaka, I took he bus to KL and from there decided to head to KL Sentral for a quick lunch and stroll around. My flight was only in the evening so I had plenty of time.
Tuesday, 8 April 2014
Day 245 - Melaka along the Canal
Despite having bigger plans for the bike and owner portraits, I decided t put this idea on hold for now and just chill in Melaka.
Monday, 7 April 2014
Day 244 - Melaka and Bikes
My plan initially was to only focus on the bicycles and their owners but then I felt like I would miss out on seeing more of Melaka.
Sunday, 6 April 2014
Day 243 - Bus to Melaka
Since there were so many buses leaving towards Melaka and the journey being under 2h, I didn't have to rush in the morning but could take it easy.
Saturday, 5 April 2014
Day 242 - Morning at the Batu Caves
At first I planned to leave to Melaka in the morning but then decided to go and check out the Batu Caves since it is easy to get to and would be something different in KL.

Day 240 - Some People in KL
This was a pretty uneventful and quiet day with not much photography done. There was no particular reason but I had not planned anything and kind of needed a break so just took it easy today.
Wednesday, 2 April 2014
Day 239 - Sightseeing in KL
Today, I met with some friends from KL and Björn in the morning for some sightseeing. They took me around to the more interesting sights.
Tuesday, 1 April 2014
Day 238 - KL
I started the morning with a wander around Chinatown to take some photos and explore the area a bit. It was nice and Chinatown is certainly a very lively place so it's good for photography.
